A great way to utilize your marketing budget is through paid advertising. 90% of consumers claim that paid ads influence their purchase decisions. So while it’s important to look into buying ad space, it’s even more important to make sure you’re using them correctly because focused paid ads can do a lot to drive traffic to your site.
Common Types of Paid Ads
– Paid Search Ads – Ads like these are ones you’ll typically see at the top of your Google results page. They’re your first few results where you’ll notice the word “Ad” next to the website address.
– Social Media Ads – These are pretty self explanatory. They’re the ads you see on various social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok.
– Banner Ads – You’ve seen these hundreds of times. Simply put, these are the large ads you see in the top or bottom banners of websites.
– Native Ads – These are ads that are designed to be part of a partnership with a website and tend to fit seamlessly with that website’s normal content.
When setting up your paid ads, make sure the keywords you’re targeting are more specific than a single word to sum up your business. Let’s say you run a restaurant that sells sandwiches. You don’t want to make your keyword just “restaurant” or “sandwich.” You want to use longer phrases that someone is more likely to search for like “sandwich restaurant near me.” The more specific you are with your keywords, the better results you’ll get.
