How to Make the Most of Your Marketing Budget
As we look ahead at the recessionary economy, it’s probably a good time to check out ways you can save on your marketing budget. So for the month of August we’re going to take a look at ways you can get creative and push your marketing dollar further.
Reusing Your Assets
Reusing your existing assets is a great way to create content when keeping an eye on your marketing budget, saving you money and time! If you’re looking to keep the social media posts flowing, a nifty trick is finding creative ways to use assets that are already created in new ways. Not everything needs to be built 100% from scratch. Scroll through our blog page and look at how we make our blog thumbnails. We’ve used the Brew Bot multiple times in different ways to keep it looking fresh. Remember, work smarter, not harder.
Another great way to stretch your marketing budget is making content that’s evergreen. This is essentially content that is timeless. It’s not focused on a specific, timed campaign you’re running. Maybe it’s a video about the basics of what your company does. Unless you decide to pivot to a completely different industry, chances are a video like that will last you a number of years. And because it’s still relevant, you can get creative with how to use that video (look at that, you’re reusing assets again).
90% of consumers claim that paid ads influence their purchase decisions. So while it’s important to look into paid ads, it’s even more important to make sure you’re using them correctly. Make sure the keywords you’re targeting are more specific than a single word to sum up your business. Let’s say you run a restaurant that sells sandwiches. You don’t want to make your keyword just “restaurant” or “sandwich.” You want to use longer phrases that someone is more likely to search for like “sandwich restaurant near me.”
